Firewood delivery in Liverpool

Liverpool has one of the largest stocks of Victorian and Edwardian housing in the country, and a great many of those original fireplaces have been opened back up over the last twenty years. Around Sefton Park, Aigburth and Mossley Hill in particular, log burners and restored open fires are the rule rather than the exception.

That housing brings its own practicalities. Terraced streets with no side access and permit parking mean a pallet is often the wrong answer — our bagged deliveries are sized to be carried through a house or down an entry without churning up the hall. If you have a yard or a driveway, a pallet works out cheaper per log and is worth considering before the season starts.

Everything we deliver is Ready to Burn certified and kiln-dried to 20% moisture or below. That matters more in a city than people realise: Liverpool falls under Defra rules on what can be burned in a smoke control area, and wet wood is both illegal to sell for domestic burning and the main reason flues tar up.
